Days Until
My Birthday

How long until your next birthday?

How is the birthday countdown calculated?

The countdown calculates the exact number of seconds between right now and midnight on your next birthday, updating every second. Clockr automatically checks whether your birthday has already occurred this calendar year — if it has, the timer counts down to the same date next year, including handling 29 February birthdays in non-leap years.

Your star sign is determined by the twelve zodiac signs, each covering a specific date range on the calendar. Because signs are tied to day and month only — not the year — your sign stays the same throughout your life. Enter your date of birth above and Clockr matches your birthday against the standard Western zodiac ranges.

Your generation is determined by matching your birth year against standard generational definitions — from the Greatest Generation (1901–1927) through to Generation Alpha (2013–2025). These ranges follow the same boundaries used across Clockr's other generational tools, so your result is consistent site-wide.

Frequently asked questions

How many days until my next birthday?

Enter your date of birth above and the live countdown shows the exact days, hours, minutes, and seconds remaining until midnight on your next birthday. The number updates every second, so you always see the precise time left — not a rounded estimate.

What day of the week was I born on?

Your birth day of the week appears in the "Day you were born on" card once you enter your date of birth. It is calculated from your full birth date — day, month, and year — and never changes. The countdown also shows which day of the week your birthday falls on this year.

What star sign am I?

Your star sign is shown in the results once you enter your date of birth. The twelve zodiac signs each span a fixed date range — for example, Aries runs from 21 March to 19 April. Your sign depends only on your day and month of birth, not the year you were born.

What generation am I?

Your generation is displayed in the results based on your birth year. Clockr uses standard ranges: Greatest Generation (1901–1927), Silent Generation (1928–1945), Baby Boomers (1946–1964), Generation X (1965–1980), Millennials (1981–1996), Generation Z (1997–2012), and Generation Alpha (2013–2025).

How do I calculate how old I will be on my next birthday?

Subtract your birth year from the year of your next birthday. If your birthday has not yet occurred this year, that is next calendar year minus your birth year. Clockr shows this as "Age you are turning" in the stats grid — for example, someone born in 1990 would turn 36 on their birthday in 2026.

What is a golden birthday?

A golden birthday is when you turn the same age as the day of the month you were born on — for example, turning 15 on the 15th, or 25 on the 25th. It can only happen once in a lifetime (unless you were born on the 31st and count leap-year adjustments). Some people also celebrate "double golden" birthdays at multiples like 44 on the 4th.

What is a half birthday and when is mine?

Your half birthday falls exactly six months after your actual birthday. If you were born on 15 March, your half birthday is 15 September. It is an informal milestone — some schools and families celebrate it for children whose birthdays fall outside the school year.

Which day of the week has the most birthdays?

Studies of birth data in the United States consistently show Tuesday as the most common day to be born, followed by Monday. Weekends tend to have fewer births, partly because scheduled C-sections and induced deliveries are more common on weekdays. Globally, patterns vary by country and healthcare system.
