How does the meeting planner work?

Scheduling a call across time zones means finding a moment when everyone is awake — and ideally within normal working hours. Clockr's meeting planner shows each participant's local day on a 24-hour timeline, colour-coded so you can spot overlap at a glance.

Drag the time slider to explore different meeting times anchored to your own time zone. Each row updates instantly to show what local time it would be for every city you've added. Teal blocks mark core working hours (9 AM to 5 PM), amber covers early morning and early evening, and dark blocks indicate late night.

All conversions use IANA timezone identifiers and your browser's Intl API, so daylight saving changes are handled automatically for today's date.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best time for a meeting between the US and Europe?

A practical overlap is usually 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM Eastern Time, which falls between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM in London — squarely within working hours on both sides. Add both cities to the planner and drag the slider to find the exact window for your date.

How many time zones can I compare at once?

You can add up to six time zones including your own. Your local time zone is detected automatically and always appears as the first row. Remove any added city with the × button beside its name.

What do the colours on the timeline mean?

Teal marks standard working hours (9 AM to 5 PM local time). Amber shows early morning (7 to 9 AM) and early evening (5 to 8 PM) — workable but less ideal. Dark grey indicates off-hours, typically late evening through early morning.

Does the planner account for daylight saving time?

Yes. Clockr uses IANA timezone data through the browser's Intl.DateTimeFormat API, which applies the correct UTC offset for today's date in each city — including spring and autumn clock changes.
