Clockr calculates the time between your anniversary date and today by working through the calendar year by year, month by month, and day by day. Rather than assuming every month has 30 days, the tool accounts for months of different lengths — from 28 or 29 days in February to 31 days in January — and includes leap years, where an extra day is added every four years. The result is a precise breakdown of years, months, and days, plus a total day count.
Certain anniversary years carry special meaning in the traditional wedding gift list. Paper marks the 1st anniversary, wood the 5th, tin or aluminium the 10th, silver the 25th, and gold the 50th.
